Description

N Jack (Female) to MCX Jack (Female) | Bulkhead Adapter | Screw-Lock | Brass Body

The ROSNOL AD-N2M25A-BH/94-94 is a precision-engineered RF bulkhead adapter designed to provide reliable interconnection between an N jack (female) interface and an MCX jack (female) interface. This adapter supports a 50 ohm characteristic impedance and operates over a frequency range from DC to 6 GHz, making it suitable for a wide range of RF and microwave signal routing requirements. With a typical VSWR of ≤ 1.20 (corresponding to a return loss of ≥ 20.8 dB), the adapter ensures stable impedance matching and minimal signal reflection across the operating band. Low insertion loss performance, specified as ≤ 0.05 × √F (GHz) dB, helps preserve signal integrity in high-frequency systems. The N-side screw-lock coupling mechanism provides secure mechanical retention, while the MCX snap-lock interface enables quick connection and disconnection. The bulkhead mounting design allows for clean panel integration in equipment housings and RF modules.

From a materials and construction standpoint, the ROSNOL AD-N2M25A-BH/94-94 is built for durability and consistent electrical performance. The center contacts on both the N and MCX sides are manufactured from beryllium copper and finished with 3 microinch gold plating over a non-magnetic nickel-phosphorus underplate, ensuring low contact resistance and long-term signal stability. The connector bodies are precision-machined from brass copper-tin-zinc alloy, providing excellent mechanical strength and effective shielding performance. PTFE insulators are used to maintain dielectric stability across a wide temperature range from -55°C to +155°C. The adapter supports a minimum of 500 mating cycles on both interfaces, with controlled engagement forces on the MCX side and a recommended N-side coupling torque of 0.7 to 1.1 Nm for consistent installation. These features make the adapter suitable for demanding RF environments where mechanical reliability and dimensional consistency are critical.
