Description

N Plug (Male) to MCX Jack (Female) | Bulkhead Adapter | Screw-Lock | Brass Body

The ROSNOL AD-N1M25A-BH/944-94 is a high-performance RF bulkhead adapter designed to interconnect an N plug (male) interface with an MCX jack (female) interface in 50-ohm RF and microwave systems. Supporting operation from DC to 6 GHz, this adapter provides reliable broadband signal transmission with excellent impedance control. The adapter features a typical VSWR of ≤ 1.20, equivalent to a return loss of ≥ 20.8 dB, ensuring minimal signal reflection across the operating frequency range. Insertion loss is specified at ≤ 0.05 × √F (GHz) dB, helping maintain signal integrity in high-frequency applications. The N-side screw-lock coupling ensures secure mechanical engagement, while the MCX snap-lock interface allows fast and repeatable connections. The bulkhead mounting configuration enables stable panel installation for RF test equipment, communication systems, and microwave modules.

The ROSNOL AD-N1M25A-BH/944-94 is manufactured using carefully selected materials to ensure electrical stability and mechanical durability. The center contacts on both the N and MCX sides are made from beryllium copper with 3 microinch gold plating over a non-magnetic nickel-phosphorus underplating, providing low contact resistance and long-term performance consistency. The connector bodies and coupling nut are precision-machined from brass copper-tin-zinc alloy, offering excellent mechanical strength and shielding effectiveness. A silicone rubber gasket on the N side enhances environmental sealing, while PTFE insulators maintain dielectric stability across a wide operating temperature range from -55°C to +155°C. The adapter supports a minimum of 500 mating cycles on both interfaces, with defined coupling torque on the N side of 0.7 to 1.1 Nm and controlled engagement forces on the MCX side, ensuring repeatable and dependable installation.
