Description
40 dB Fixed Attenuator | SMA Jack (Female) to SMA Jack (Female) | DC–18 GHz
The ROSNOL FA-A2A25A-18G50W40/9X-9X is a high-performance 40 dB fixed RF attenuator designed for precise signal level control in DC to 18 GHz applications. Featuring a 50 Ω impedance, this attenuator maintains stable signal integrity with a VSWR of ≤ 1.3 (≥ 17.69 dB return loss). It supports an average power rating of 50 W and peak power up to 200 W (5 μsec pulse width, 10% duty cycle), ensuring reliable operation under demanding RF conditions. The attenuation accuracy is tightly controlled at -1.0/+1.3 dB, providing consistent and predictable signal reduction. The SMA Jack (Female) to SMA Jack (Female) configuration with screw-on coupling ensures secure connectivity, with ≥ 500 mating cycles for long service life.
This ROSNOL fixed attenuator is engineered using robust materials to ensure durability and thermal stability. The body is constructed from stainless steel with passivated finishing, offering excellent corrosion resistance and mechanical strength. The center contact is made from beryllium copper with gold plating, delivering superior conductivity and low contact resistance, though beryllium copper requires careful handling during manufacturing due to its hardness. The insulator is fabricated from PTFE, providing stable dielectric properties across a wide temperature range of -55°C to +125°C, though it may have slightly higher thermal expansion compared to ceramics. An integrated aluminum heatsink with black anodized finish enhances heat dissipation, supporting sustained high-power performance.
ROSNOL’s attenuators are precision-engineered to meet the rigorous demands of RF and microwave systems. Manufactured in ISO 9001-certified facilities, ROSNOL products offer consistent performance and high reliability while remaining a cost-effective alternative to leading global brands. All components are fully compliant with RoHS and REACH regulations, ensuring environmental safety and global regulatory alignment. Customization options for attenuation values, materials, and mechanical configurations are available to meet specialized application requirements.
