The ROSNOL SMA1A00-1270A-100/-XX is an SMA plug protective cap designed to mechanically protect unmated SMA plug connectors by covering the coupling interface and exposed threads. The screw-lock structure allows the cap to be securely fastened to the connector, helping maintain stable positioning during handling or storage. An integrated chain with a fixed length of 100 mm is used to retain the cap when disengaged, reducing the risk of loss while keeping the cap close to the connector. The design focuses on preventing mechanical damage caused by dust, debris, and unintended physical contact.The body and coupling nut are manufactured from stainless steel with a passivated surface finish, providing improved resistance to corrosion and stable mechanical strength in demanding environments. A silicone rubber gasket is incorporated to support sealing against particulate ingress at the connector interface. The retaining chain is produced from a copper–tin–zinc brass alloy, selected for its durability, flexibility, and resistance to repeated bending during normal handling.
