The ROSNOL SMA1BT50-0020A-EMI/9XX is a high-reliability SMA Plug (Male) straight field replaceable RF connector designed for panel-mounted installations requiring on-site assembly and enhanced EMI shielding performance. This field replaceable connector accepts a center pin diameter of ∅0.51 mm [.020], making it suitable for specific coaxial cable preparations defined by field-installation requirements. Operating across a frequency range from DC to 18 GHz with a characteristic impedance of 50 Ω, the connector delivers stable electrical performance with VSWR ≤ 1.25 (Return Loss ≥ 19.08 dB) and insertion loss ≤ 0.04 × √F (GHz) dB. It supports demanding electrical conditions with a working voltage of 480 V rms, a test voltage of 1000 V rms, and power handling up to 200 W at 2 GHz. A screw-lock coupling mechanism ensures secure mating, while the 2-hole flange panel mount design provides reliable mechanical attachment with a hole spacing of 12.22 mm (0.481 inch).This SMA field replaceable connector is constructed with a beryllium copper center contact featuring gold plating over a non-magnetic nickel-phosphorus underplating, ensuring low contact resistance and consistent performance during field assembly. A PTFE insulator maintains dielectric stability across the operating frequency range, while a silicone rubber gasket supports panel sealing. An integrated EMI gasket made from conductive silicone elastomers enhances electromagnetic interference shielding and ground continuity between the connector flange and the equipment panel. The captive center contact design, with axial captivation ≥ 27 N, supports repeatable installation, with a recommended coupling torque of 0.80–1.10 Nm for optimal mechanical integrity.
