Description

50 Ohm Armored Coaxial Cable | PVC Outer Jacket | Low-Density PTFE Dielectric

The MP790A-AM is a rugged RF/microwave test cable designed for environments requiring enhanced mechanical protection. It features a solid silver-plated copper conductor and low-density PTFE dielectric, shielded by silver-plated copper foil and braid. The cable includes an FEP inner jacket and stainless steel armor with PVC outer jacket for durability. Overall diameter is 14.35 mm (0.565 inch), with a minimum bending radius of 39 mm (1.54 inch). Weight is 141 g/m, and the cable withstands 5,000 flexures. Operating temperature ranges from -55°C to +165°C, and the cable is RoHS compliant.

Electrical performance includes 50 Ω impedance, 80.4 pF/m capacitance, and 83% velocity factor. Screening effectiveness is ≥90 dB, and maximum operating voltage is 3.6 kVrms. Typical attenuation values are 0.165 dB/m (0.05 dB/ft) at 1 GHz, 0.5 dB/m (0.15 dB/ft) at 10 GHz, and 0.68 dB/m (0.21 dB/ft) at 18 GHz.
