Description
50 Ohm Multi Purpose R-Test Cable | FEP Jacket | Low-Density PTFE Dielectric
The MP790A is a high-performance RF/microwave test cable designed for static applications up to 18 GHz. It features a solid silver-plated copper conductor and low-density PTFE dielectric for superior electrical stability. Shielding includes silver-plated copper foil and braid, with a durable FEP jacket. The cable diameter is 7.9 mm (0.311 inch), and the minimum bending radius is 24 mm (0.94 inch) static and 39 mm (1.54 inch) for repeated flexures. Weight is 141 g/m, and the cable withstands crush resistance of 12 kN/m and tensile loads up to 400 N. Operating temperature ranges from -55°C to +165°C, and the cable is RoHS compliant.Electrical specifications include 50 Ω impedance, 80.4 pF/m capacitance, and 83% velocity factor. Screening effectiveness exceeds 90 dB up to 18 GHz, with phase stability under flexure <2.0°el/GHz and insertion loss stability ±0.3 dB under bending. Typical attenuation values are 0.165 dB/m (0.05 dB/ft) at 1 GHz, 0.5 dB/m (0.15 dB/ft) at 10 GHz, and 0.68 dB/m (0.21 dB/ft) at 18 GHz. Maximum CW power handling ranges from 1,759 W at 1 GHz to 387 W at 18 GHz.
