Description
50 Ohm Armored Coaxial Cable | PVC Outer Jacket | Low-Density PTFE Dielectric
The MP420A-AM is a rugged RF/microwave test cable with stainless steel armor for enhanced mechanical protection. It features a solid silver-plated copper conductor and low-density PTFE dielectric, shielded by silver-plated copper foil and braid. The cable includes an FEP inner jacket and PVC outer jacket for durability. Overall diameter is 8.7 mm (0.343 inch), with a minimum bending radius of 10.0 mm (0.394 inch). Weight is 66 g/m, and the cable withstands 5,000 flexures. Operating temperature ranges from -40°C to +80°C, and the cable is RoHS compliant.Electrical performance includes 50 Ω impedance, 86.0 pF/m capacitance, and 80% velocity factor. Screening effectiveness is ≥110 dB up to 18 GHz. Phase stability is ±5° typical and ±9.5° max, while amplitude stability is ±0.10 dB typical and ±0.20 dB max. Typical attenuation values are identical to MP420A: 0.73 dB/m (0.22 dB/ft) at 3 GHz, 1.86 dB/m (0.57 dB/ft) at 18 GHz, and 2.85 dB/m (0.87 dB/ft) at 40 GHz. Maximum CW power handling ranges from 375 W at 3 GHz to 103 W at 40 GHz.
