Description
50 Ohm Flexible Coaxial Cable | PVC Jacket | PE Dielectric
The ROSNOL RG-58C/U is a 50 Ω flexible coaxial cable engineered for reliable RF signal transmission from DC to 1 GHz. With a controlled impedance of 50 ±3 Ω, a velocity of propagation of 66%, and a capacitance of 98 ±3 pF/m, RG-58C/U delivers predictable electrical performance for radio communication equipment, laboratory test leads, GPS/LTE front-haul jumpers, and embedded RF modules. The cable supports an operating voltage up to 2.5 kVrms (sea level) and offers typical attenuation of 0.16 dB/m at 0.1 GHz, 0.38 dB/m at 0.4 GHz, 0.66 dB/m at 0.9 GHz, and 0.71 dB/m at 1.0 GHz under 25 °C test conditions, with corresponding CW power handling up to 332 W at 0.1 GHz and 105 W at 1.0 GHz.Mechanical construction features a stranded, tin‑plated copper inner conductor (Ø 0.91 mm) for enhanced flex life, a solid polyethylene (PE) dielectric (Ø 2.95 ±0.1 mm), a tin‑plated copper braid (Ø 3.6 ±0.1 mm) that provides ≥ 38 dB screening effectiveness up to 1 GHz, and a durable PVC outer jacket (Ø 4.95 ±0.1 mm) for ease of installation and handling. The nominal minimum bending radius is 25 mm, enabling tight‑radius routing in compact enclosures while maintaining signal integrity. Insulation resistance is specified at ≥ 1×10^6 MΩ/m to ensure low leakage and stable long‑term performance.
RG-58C/U is qualified for everyday field and lab use across a wide environmental range, with a service temperature from −25 °C to +85 °C and a recommended installation window from −20 °C to +60 °C. The cable is fully compliant with RoHS (EU 2015/863). Typical applications include general‑purpose RF interconnects, mobile radio and telemetry harnesses, production ATE patching, and bench‑top measurement jumpers where a balanced blend of flexibility, attenuation, and voltage rating is required.
